After we rode around the historic icons of Burra we headed into the Clare valley wine reigion, we collected some booty from 7 Hills & headed to Melrose, first mountain of the Flinders Ranges, it also happens to have a MTB trail network so I am on, we sampled some blue trails this morning Annie smashed em, then we walked to the summit of Mt Remarkable (960M), now I am smashed. Pub for dinner, then bed.
I forgot to thank Janette, my secret is now out, I am one of the rare individuals that have cunning, practical skills & ravishing good looks, good on you.
Just been reading our old diary - Dad and I walked up Mt. Remarkable on Sat 28.5.94 the return trip took us around 3 hours - we were camped opposite a large gum tree where a yard of Kookabburras perched they woke us up every morning around 4.30 - good memories - enjoy the Fliners Ranges
ReplyDeleteHey Annie and Andrew - well Ive just created my account and logged in to read up on the journey so far. So you are now officially part of the grey travelling nomads. Do not let your hair go grey Annie!! Having that freedom and no commitments seems unimaginable to me. I think you two will have to be re-programmed when you return to life back in the 'burbs'. Loving the photos. keep having fun. Stay safe, Kathy xx
ReplyDeletePS. Val - how lovely to revisit your own memories through Annie's trip. Bet you're missing her. Arent blogs and emails a wonderful tool - it keeps you in touch so easily. Cheers Kathy
