It has become apparent that to get a seniors card in Broome, one must exchange it for ALL of your swim wear. As we drive north up the beach there is a disturbing number of people naked, all of them current card holders. We position ourselves a reasonable distance from our nearest neighbour, a couple of ample proportion, mum she chooses to lay in the sand crumbing the cutlet. Dad he thinks it would be prudent to clear the sand out from under the wheels of the car.
My dilemma is that I have a long handled shovel at my disposal, I feel the urge to assist however I am reluctant to approach a man, who is receiving a healthy dose of sunshine to the deepest of his creases. So do I approach shovel outstretched, shielding my eye's, hoping not to spoil his day. (insert image).
Our children will return shortly scared by some of the images on the beach, a procession of naked old men with no bottoms & the codger todger swinging in the breeze will remain with them for some time I am sure.
This was our sun smart camp for the day, note, lots of shade, sunscreen & togs over here thank you.
